The interesting thing is one of the psychological "burdens" that fueled the tendinitisin my back this year is grief. I experienced too much death in 2011 and didn't grieve properly. So I've been doing lots of crying the last month. Every time I do the pain disappears. less

Yeah, I cry and the pain goes away for a little while - but I know that it won't go away entirely until what is broken gets fixed - and I don't know that I have the strength left to fix it. I'm so tired Laura and I don't know what to do anymore.

When my ex and I split I swore, to him and myself, that I would never keep our son from seeing, talking, spending time with him. For many years he did not keep in touch with our son, but then they reconnected when our son was in his teens - they became close and truly loved and enjoyed each other. I am grateful that they had this before my ex passed away from pancreatic cancer - while my son still misses his Dad - at least they had that time. My son knew his Dad wasn't perfect, they had a relationship, he knew his father loved him, and that is what is/was important.
My oldest (stepson) is going through a bad time with his ex - she is trying to get sole custody of their son and keep my son from being in his life at all, out of spite. It's very sad. So many men don't want to be in their kids' lives, you would think that the one's that do should be supported and encouraged. less
