She was a feral cat who started coming to me for petting when she was young, never quite sure how young. She was with me 11 years when she went on to the next phase in July. As for Samson, we were attending an adoption event (centered mostly around dogs) and Cougar went into the cat room. Samson spoke to him and when I entered the room, I was directed to the proper kennel. When I put my fingers in the door, Samson reached out to "grab" them. When I opened the door and reached in, the purr was deafening. He clung to me and had to be pried off when they came to give him his shots. Now he purrs whenever I come near him and would be perfectly happy to spend 24 hours a day in my lap. Lol. less
