Who am I
I'm a stay at home mom,married,have 4 sons (all of which have moved out ,gone to college/married or taking the scenic route in life) 3 of the 4 boys are in the military which has aged me more then being the mom of 7. I/we have 3 girls and the hormones are abundant. Hubby has learned to hide and it only took him 18yrs to figure it out.
I am what some people call a 'fiber artist' I call working with needle and thread 'therapy'. Along with reading for sanity I try to maintain a sense of humor tho some days are better then others.
More About Me
ummm.....I've lots of Irish and German blood in me so I have an 'Irish temper' to go along with my 'German Stubborn'...

Hero's or Other Info
Other info? My sons are my heroes.They went to war,they fought for me,you,and our children. My 18yr old daughter is also a hero to me. She was 14 when she came down with ulcerated colitis.Thats a tough card to be handed when you're an adult but as a kid she has put many to shame. She is in the upper ranks of her class,runs cross country,and pushes herself to limits I would never think to do.
Likes
I like books,all kinds of books...well except training manuals.I love art,all kinds of needlework,I love it when the kids go to bed.When I can sucker someone into watching kids I get to travel with hubby when he goes for work and Ive been to some pretty nice places.
Dislikes
I really dislike people who think they know everything and arent afraid to tell you ....ya know like teenagers with eye rolling abilities. Oh and when you listen to music and they go to say 'I cant live without you' or 'I need you' and it comes out sounding like 'I cant live without chew or I need chew'...GAH....drives me insane!!

right now my 'thing' is rug hooking not with yarn but the traditional way using linen burlap, strips of wool fabric, and a crochet looking hook. I love the way I can express my interpretation of a pattern. Knitting is a close second to spending my quiet time. But reading is my all time favorite.

So far my other 4 kids dont live at home,it came close once but very quickly. I figured out why the fates make teenagers they way they are,ya know mouthy,know it all....its cause they drive you so nuts with thier drama that you cant wait for them to move out...
