Do you Zentangle? In all honesty it's pretty much doodling, but on a way cooler scale.. Who would of thought when our parents said "Stop Doodling" they had no clue you would grow up and have a opportunity to make a living out of it, lol..
I don't know about you guys, but it's fantast therapy/meditation for me. I can get lost in zentangling/doodliing for hours. I can't meditate like most people do, my brain is "Broke Down in Over Drive" as MrE calls it, lol. In so many words or less it never slows down.. But, when I draw, paing, design graphics, I get lost in it.. I'll sit down at 9am, and then next thing I know MrE is telling me it's 1am and time to go to bed.
I've also made some really cool Book of Shadow's pages. I love taking the closest out side edge of a page and tangling it all the way down the page.. If you haven't tried it, you should. It's really cool..
I remember a few years ago, they only had 1 or 2 books out. Now, their is atleast 50 that I know of. You can also google "Zentangle" and click on the "Image" link of google, and man, you get a lot of examples..
Oh, they have these "Micron Pen's" they use, $15.98 for a pk of 6. Not sure about you, but *WAY* to expensive for me. So I found the next best thing. Sharpie Untra Fine Pens, cheap, come in tons of colors, and they don't bleed. NOTE: other size Sharpies *DO* bleed, so stay with the untra fine. I've also found that "Gel" pens do really good also. I love my gel's..
So, do you Zentangle?, if so, share. What books do you think are the best? What pens do you use? Have you found any great web sites?
