Busy Bee

  • I've been a busy bee and probably will continue to be for a while.

This esbat was amazing!  I got a call confirming when we could pick up our new used car and I got another call asking me to come in for a second interview to meet the director/co-owner of the place I applied.

We picked up our car Wednesday.  She needs spark plug wires and tires, which if things work out will be put on tomorrow.  Yea!!!  We have a car!!!  I'm hoping it will be good for us because it just seemed like everything came together with the divine intervention I needed.  Odin's cousin had told us about a cheap car that just needed brakes and a brake line.  Between the baby sitter and my mom's "gas money" it cost us a fortune to go pick up Odin's cousing and have him get us to the car.  When we got there I thought all hope was lost.  The car was a stick, which I can't drive and it would cost triple to put it in Odin's name, money we don't have.  They guy is a scraper and took pity on us, so he got on his phone and called another scraper he knows.  Turns out that other scraper had picked up this cavalier as a second car but didn't like it because he's a...portly dude and the car was just too small for him to be comfortable in.  We were there at just the right time to snag it.  Another lady had looked at it and said she wanted it but she didn't have the money yet.  Odin's return had come in two days early so we had cash in hand right then.  With the bad luck we've had over the last three years with cars I'm leary of a good thing.  Odin's cousin works on cars and he said he thinks the guy's right that the spark plug wires and tires are all it needs.

Tomorrow is also my second interview.  I'm nervous, more so than usual.  I've got another kidney infection, well that's my diagnosis.  I can't go to the doctor but similar symptoms as before.  I'm hoping I can be peppy at the interview and if/when I start work because it will be a while before I can get to a doctor and get an antibiotic.  Who needs kidneys anyway, right? LOL.  I started taking a cranberry suppliment hoping it will help in the meantime, that and lots of water.

I haven't been online much between the goings on and the way I feel.  My online time probably won't increase too much.  Over the weekend I've got to help my oldest get ready for his v-day party at preschool.  The school doesn't have any funding for them to have treats or anything so I'm going to try and do up some treat bags and maybe some cookies or something for them to have when they exchange valentines.  I also really want to get the curtains done for the boys room, everytime I go to do them something else demands my attention.
